Daniel Lee, DO

Education: Dr. Lee graduated from Cornell University with a bachelor’s degree in Biology with a course of study in Molecular and Cell Biology. He received his Master’s Degree in Physiology at New York Medical College in Valhalla, NY. He received his osteopathic medical degree from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine in PA. He completed a residency in Ophthalmology at Beaumont Health in Michigan and a Cornea, External Disease, and Refractive Surgery fellowship at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, TX.

Professional: Dr. Lee is a fellowship trained Cornea and Refractive Surgery specialist, and is board eligible by the American osteopathic Board of Ophthalmology and Otolaryngology.

Personal: Dr. Lee enjoys spending time with his wife and two sons and enjoys the outdoors, especially hiking and snowboarding. He finds weight-lifting to be a positive outlet for any energy leftover from his family, work, and hobbies. He is a basketball and football enthusiast, and although he is a Houston Rockets and Dallas Cowboys fan, he enjoys watching Carolina teams play as well. He speaks basic conversational Korean as a second language.

Special Interests: Dr. Lee specializes in the medical and surgical treatment of corneal disease and external eye disease. He is trained in performing corneal transplants including DMEK, DSAEK, penetrating keratoplasty. He also has experience with corneal cross-linking, LASIK, ocular biopsies. He performs small incision and laser cataract surgery, including the use of Toric and multifocal/trifocal intraocular lenses to reduce or eliminate the need for glasses after cataract surgery.
