Sarah Kwon Lee, OD

Education: Dr. Sarah Lee graduated from Baylor University in Waco, TX, obtaining her Bachelor of Arts in Biochemistry and Medical Humanity. She then went on to complete her Doctor of Optometry degree with honors at University of Houston College of Optometry, finishing internship training in primary eye care, vision therapy, and medical optometry.

Professional: Dr. Lee is a primary eye care provider as a medical optometrist and worked at a LASIK refractive surgery practice in the states of NY, MI, and TX before joining Metrolina Eye Associates. She feels privileged in partaking in the journey to improve sight for patients from all walks of life. She was awarded as Top Optometrist in 2019 from Detroit, MI based on patients’ reviews for the year. She is fully bilingual in English and Korean and is highly experienced in treating Spanish-speaking patients.

Personal Background: Dr. Lee has lived in various cities of South Korea, Texas, New York and Michigan, so she loves learning about other cultures and backgrounds. She loves eating different types of food and doing outdoor activities with her husband, two young sons, family, and friends. She also loves playing music including guitar and piano, and she enjoys watching basketball.

Special Interests: Dr. Lee has mostly devoted her optometric career treating patients for LASIK & PRK pre-operatively and post-operatively for over 7 years in Garden City, NY; Detroit, MI; and Dallas-Fort Worth, TX. She also continues to treat and serve patients in all age groups to meet their vision needs, treat ocular conditions, and improve quality of eyesight and lifestyle.
