Michelle Beachkofsky, OD

Education: Dr. Beachkofsky completed her undergraduate studies at Purdue University in Indiana. She went on to receive her doctorate in optometry from Pennsylvania College of Optometry in Elkins Park, Pennsylvania. Following graduation, she completed a residency in anterior segment disease and specialty contact lenses in Elkins Park, Pennsylvania.

Professional: Dr. Beachkofsky practiced optometry in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania area prior to joining us at Metrolina Eye Associates. She is a diplomate of the American Board of Optometry and is a member of the American Optometric Association, North Carolina Optometric Society and the Piedmont Optometric Society. Additionally, she was awarded the Young Optometrist of the Year for Pennsylvania 2013-2014.

Special Interests: Dr. Beachkofsky has over fifteen years of experience in medical optometry.   She specializes in comprehensive eye examinations for all age groups, ocular disease diagnosis and management, co-management of ocular surgeries.   She has extensive experience in contact lens fittings including specialty contact lenses.  She has a special interest in the pediatric population and working with children on myopia management and amblyopia.

Personal Background: Dr. Beachkofsky moved to North Carolina from Pennsylvania where she practiced for eleven years.  She grew up in Terre Haute, Indiana and currently resides in the Waxhaw area.   She stays busy with her two sons and is often found at the baseball field.  On her free time, she enjoys family, friends and traveling.
