Professional: Dr. Peterson is a fellowship trained Glaucoma specialist, and is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology. He has published multiple book chapters and co-authored several peer-reviewed publications.

Special Interests: Dr. Peterson specializes in the medical and surgical treatment of Glaucoma, including all types of glaucoma lasers and surgery. He has extensive experience with multiple types of minimally-invasive glaucoma procedures including iStent, Goniotomy and Canaloplasty. He also performs small incision and laser cataract surgery, including the use of Toric and Multifocal intraocular lenses to reduce or eliminate the need for glasses after cataract surgery.

Education: Dr. Peterson graduated with highest honors from Montana State University with a bachelor’s degree in Cell Biology & Neuroscience. He received his medical degree from Emory University in Atlanta, GA where he graduated cum laude. He stayed on at Emory University to complete a residency in Ophthalmology and a fellowship in Glaucoma.

Personal: Dr. Peterson was born in North Dakota and spent much of his childhood in Montana, where he and his wife grew to love the outdoors while golfing, hiking and skiing.
