Stacy Schorner, OD, FAAO

Education: Dr. Schorner received her degree in Biology from Juniata College in Pennsylvania.  She then graduated from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry in Philadelphia with a Doctor of Optometry degree. Dr. Schorner also completed a Primary Eye Care residency at the W.G. (Bill) Hefner VA Medical Center in Salisbury, NC.

Professional: Dr. Schorner is a fellow of the American Academy of Optometry. She has lectured to other doctors at state and national Optometric meetings. She is also a member of the American Optometric Association, North Carolina State Optometric Society, and the Piedmont Optometric Society.

Special Interests: As a medical optometrist, Dr. Schorner specializes in diagnosis and treatment of ocular disease. She has extensive experience treating dry eye syndrome, ocular allergies and infections with state of the art technology. Dr. Schorner has over ten years of experience managing macular degeneration and glaucoma. She is also proficient in comprehensive eye exams, contact lens fittings as well as co-managing cataract and LASIK eye surgeries.

Personal Background: Dr. Schorner, who is originally from Pennsylvania, now lives in the Weddington area. She is married and has two young boys.  She enjoys traveling, fitness, playing tennis and golf, and spending time with her family and friends.
